PRE-SEASON fitness training proved the telling factor as Chaddesley Corbett U-14s defeated Woodrush 22-5.
Tries from Bobby Lawrenson and Adam Banner secured victory in the second half as the visitors tired under relentless pressure.
In a tight, competitive game against strong opposition, Banner ran in the first try for Chaddesley but Woodrush were level by half-time.

Ben Broga and James Needham bagged the points but man-of-the-match was the aggressive and disciplined Ben Jordan.
Coach Ian Smith has developed a formidable side which included Ollie Price who stepped up an age group to impress on the wing.
Chaddesley U-8s 40 Alcester 20
Josh Turner and Sam Westwood ran in seven tries between them in a classy display.
The other scores were from James Whitehouse, Sam Smith and Louis Ellesmore.
Chaddesley U-7s 35 Alcester 0
The youngsters began the season in style as the whole team took the man-of-the-match award.
Declan Hadleigh ran in four tries and Alistair Westwood one, while Sam Cave, Oliver Gough, Joe Wilson and Molly Priest all played well in support.
