I CRIED when I saw Kyle McLeod Finch on the front of Shuttle/Times and News of September 25.

I remember this boy, as I used to live near him. He has such a lot of qualities and has had so little positive input through his life.

It is not fair to apportion all of the blame on this boy's behaviour to him alone.

I don't believe he was a thug at six years of age. How many six-year-old boys are subjected to sitting outside pubs? He should have been tucked up in a nice warm bed.

It's a pity that all the human resources which have been involved in his public humiliation are not available to find him alternative ways to live his days.

I would like to say to Kyle - in know it will be hard, but show them kid. You have as bright a future as anyone else.

Despite your difficult beginning, life can change, and as Jesus said: "Let he who is without sin cast the first stone".
