INJURY-HIT Kidderminster Harriers Ladies' miserable start to the West Midlands Premier Division season continued on Sunday.

They played the final 20 minutes with only nine women as they lost 6-2 to Rea Valley.

Alison Thorpe and Vicky Roberts were forced off the pitch with injuries to add to a growing list.

Valley opened their account in the 17th minute after Emma Darby ran onto a through ball to score.

Becky Edgar fired in from 12 yards in the 27th minute and Darby added her second eight minutes later.

Harriers had early chances after the interval through Julie Freeman and Roberts but Edgar and S Knight bagged further goals.

New recruit Kailee Hurdiss netted her first for the Harriers in the 83rd minute, curling in a low shot at the far post from the edge of the box.

Stand-in keeper Emma Jones made a great save two minutes later, tipping over Becky Mason's penalty.

But Mason grabbed the sixth from the resulting corner following a poor clearance.

Louise Holmes scored a 26-yard late consolation for Harriers who host Romulus at Wilden Village Cricket Club on Sunday.
