MOTORSPORT: Gary Jackson and Carl Pugh have won the British Sidecar Speedway Championships for the second year in a row.
The Bewdley Motor Cycle Club duo went through the complete programme unbeaten at Poole in Dorset, taking six wins in all.
The championship hinged on the straight winner-takes-all final on Sunday.
Passenger Pugh, of Hartlebury, said: "Our race times were the fastest of the 20 qualifying heats. The bookmakers had us at 4-1 to repeat last year's win and they were right."
Jackson and Pugh shot into the lead from the start in their final contest and never looked like being beaten.
The Bewdley club are hoping their trial riders will carry on the club's success when they take part in the Autumn trial at Pound Green on October 26.
