A CLAMPDOWN on violent crime in Worcester netted 15 arrests around the city yesterday.
Twenty officers were involved in the operation, which resulted in six arrests for alleged assaults, with four of those being charged.
Police inquiries are continuing in relation to the others who were arrested.
"This initiative was aimed at maximising detections and letting people know that we treat all crime - and especially violent crime - seriously," said Insp John Beddows.
"We are determined to deliver the message that violent crime is not acceptable and that all allegations will be actively pursued."
