THE annual Studley Mop was held on Monday. There was a large attendance of pleasure seekers who patronised the various shows, switchbacks etc which were more numerous than in former years.
About eight o'clock, rain commenced to fall heavily, which marred the pleasure.
A pig was roasted at the Shakespeare Inn, where Mr W Ireson entertained his customers.
