ON-GOING 'impracticalities' with the taxi rank inside the town centre's bus station are finally being addressed after months of problems.
Taxi drivers and Redditch Council chiefs met Kingfisher Centre owners Thornfield at the bus station on Thursday.
An electronic display to tell drivers waiting in a larger rank in Station Way if there are spaces in the station has not worked since it was installed.
And the height of kerbs in the station has also posed problems for drivers and passengers.
Redditch Council's taxi licensing officer Eddie Isaacs said: "The problem with the electronic display is now going to be addressed.
"The issue with the kerbs is if someone calls for a specific taxi, the driver can't get into the bus station if there is a queue of taxis waiting.
"The kerbs restrict the opportunity to answer calls and keep passengers waiting. The issue is being now being looked at."
