ON September 18, members enjoyed a talk and demonstration by Steve, who specialises in carpentry at B&Q Warehouse in Redditch.
He told of how the first B&Q opened in 1969, started by a Mr Block and a Mr Quale.
At present, there are 320 stores in the UK employing 35,000 staff and are now owned by the Kingfisher Group.
Apart from the huge range of goods on offer, they also hold weekly demonstrations for the various trades and are involved in local charities.
Steve then showed how to fit laminate flooring.
