BROMSGROVE Golf Club's Alliance team has secured third place for the season despite having been bottom after three matches.
In the last round of the Birmingham Alliance League, the Stratford Road centre's side, who have to handicaps under 16, secured second position, giving them third overall.
Elsewhere, Lyn Allen won the September Ladies medal competition Club Silver Division. Janet Fung won the Club Bronze Division.
In the TOFFS, 55-years-old and over, knockout finals, the ladies winner was Val Price with Dermid Gardner winning the mens competition.
Steve Steventon and Jeff Rushton finished third in the final of the Birmingham and District Chairman's Cup.
The winning team of the rain-affected TOFFS annual away day was Gardner, Roy Bird, Joan Banner and Janet Dee. John Cowlin won the longest drive.
