PHEASANT shoots have now become a very lucrative business.
Young birds are bought in large numbers to be raised in local spinneys. Fed by a gamekeeper, they become tame. The owner then arranges shoots for big money to foreign businessmen and the like.
Many of the birds are so full of shot they are useless. But the RSPCA says nothing.
