BROMSGROVE Rovers Reserves remain top of the Midland Combination Reserve Division despite losing only their second game in eight last Saturday.
Steve Cotton's side were beaten 2-0 by Quorn at the Victoria Ground, leaving Rovers three points ahead of Rushall but having played two more games.
Last Thursday the reserves beat Boldmere St Michaels 2-1, also at the Victoria Ground.
Rovers led within seven minutes as Steve Ruck and Chris Dawson allowed Steve Frost to round goalkeeper Murphy and score.
Ian Gandy tipped a shot brilliantly over the bar to keep the lead intact but Boldmere equalised ten minutes from the break. Greg Witherinton was brought down in the penalty box by James Hill and Ryan Murphy gave Gandy no chance.
The hosts deservedly went ahead when Danny James beat Murphy low to his right.
Ruck and Andre Whyte each hit the post with further late efforts while Tom Davies was man of the match.
