BROMSGROVE Hockey Club Ladies second disappointingly drew 1-1 at Sutton Ladies in their warm-up fixture.
Although missing regular forward Amanda Johnson, Bromsgrove kept possession throughout the first half with the majority of play within the attacking 25 yard line.
However, it took until midway through the second half for a goal to materialise and it went to Sutton via a controversial short corner.
The visitors retaliated with a dozen strong attempts at the Sutton goal and levelled through Helen Hartiss with minutes to spare.
Captain Clare Berrisford said: "The team has done well to equalise so late into the game but we were unfortunate not to come away with a victory."
Bromsgrove host Bournville this Saturday in their first league fixture.
