BROMSGROVE Rovers manager George Rooney will be an interested spectator at tonight's FA Cup replay between Congleton Town and Hucknall Town.

The Victoria Ground club have been drawn to play the winners away in the third qualifying round following their superb 2-0 victory at Hednesford Town at the weekend.

Rovers have already played Hucknall in a pre-season friendly, losing 3-1, but whoever they play, the Rovers' boss is geared up for a physical battle.

"They breed good footballers in that part of the world, strong and competitive, and one thing is for sure -- we won't be playing against any fancy dans," said Rooney.

"We played Hucknall in pre-season and they were a big, powerful side, but Congleton will be a handful too."

"It's the FA Cup and we just have to take we get," he added.

Rooney was delighted with the display against the Pitmen, who play a league above them in the Dr Martens Premier Division.

Victory was sealed with goals from Mark Atkinson and Danny Scheppel, and Rooney insisted his side deserved to reach the next round.

"We shaded it and were the better side," he said.

"Mark Atkinson worked his socks off and collectively we closed them down and did all the horrible things that you have to do in the game."
