A charity has pushed its way into the Faithful City with the help of Worcester strongman Russ Bradley.

Malvern Special Families - a charity that supports families of children who have special needs - is hoping to extend its service to Worcester, and is marking the fact with a coffee morning in the city.

And they began the journey on Saturday with the help of Russ Bradley, who has been named Britain's Strongest Man four times.

"It was great fun, with many of our families on the lorry and Russ coming along to help our big push," said Charlotte Underwood, who organised the event.

Malvern Special Families offers home support and visits, a bi-monthly newsletter, pamper sessions for parents, a Christmas party and summer barbecue.

They also organise activities for young people such as a Saturday Club, a Youth Club and a Holiday Club.

The official Worcester launch takes place between 10am and noon on Wednesday, October 8, at the Guildhall, in the High Street.
