HUNDREDS of fund-raisers brewed up a treat for a cancer charity as they took part in the world's biggest coffee morning.
Kind-hearted coffee lovers around Worcester popped the kettle on, baked cakes and rattled the donation tins in aid of Macmillan Cancer Relief on Friday.
Participants included staff from Whittard tea and coffee shop in CrownGate shopping centre who raised more than £250.
They dressed as fairies while serving cakes to customers on the big day and also held a hamper raffle and balloon race to bolster coffers.
"It was hugely busy on Friday. We'd been advertising the event for weeks so I think people were coming in because of the coffee morning - or perhaps just to look at us dressed as fairies," said organiser Emma Getuoldsen.
Other coffee mornings were held at The Grange, Worcester Royal Gram-mar School, St Mary's Convent School, in Wor-cester, and at Fleetline Solutions, where office workers enjoyed cakes and biscuits as well as hot chocolate and the obligatory cup of coffee.
Macmillan is looking to raise £3.5m to further research into cancer through the national event.
