JOHN Brain has warned his side that Orrell have the firepower to shoot down Worcester's title dreams.

The Sixways director of rugby is gearing up for what he believes will be one of their toughest tests of the season at Edge Hall Road tomorrow (2pm).

And he has told the National One leaders they need to be focused from the first minute onwards to keep on the title trail.

"It is a key game," said Brain. "Everybody talks about April 12 and the game with Rotherham, but if we slip up at Orrell then our destiny is out of our hands.

"At the moment if we win all of our remaining league games with bonus points then we will finish top.

"However, if we lose on Sunday that game with Rotherham might not mean anything.

Mobile

"Orrell have a lot of threat in attack, good half backs and quality outside of that. Their pack is also a mobile unit so we know what to expect.

"They are also a full-time outfit like ourselves so the fitness should not be a problem for them.

"We know that Orrell fancy their chances against us but we have got to go there, be professional and come away with a win. A bonus point would be just that though, a bonus."

One Orrell player who will be desperate to impress is Scott Barrow who made the switch from Sixways to Wigan in the summer.

The former St Helens star, who enjoyed a successful Worcester spell, decided to move back North.

He has been starring at full back recently but may play back in his favoured centre role because of Andy Craig's Scotland duty.

Coach Andy Keast is wary of the threat of a player he never wanted to leave.

"We did everything we could to keep Scott but he wanted to go back home," he said.

"Scott's a strong running three-quarter. He'll want to impress there's no doubt about that.

"He's very close to Christian Evans and speaks to him regularly. Playing against Worcester will be an extra edge for him."

Worcester's Will Bowley played for England U19s as they were beaten 17-13 by France at Broadstreet last night.

The lock started the match but was substituted after 51 minutes. France won with a late converted try.
