WORCESTER City manager John Barton says he will not be able to make wholesale chan-ges to his squad next season.
Barton met with club directors last night to discuss his plans for next season.
But with the vast majority of his players under contract beyond the end of this season, he appreciates that his hands are tied unless he can do some wheeling and dealing.
He said of last night's meeting. "It was just an assessment of the picture from when I came in and how I see it going on. The situation hasn't chan-ged since I came to the club. It is a very tight financial situation and a commitment has already been made to many of them for next year.
"That puts paid to as many changes as I would probably have liked. There may be a little bit of movement but there won't be major surgery."
Meanwhile, City have put promising teenage winger Jamie Hyde on a contract -- and he could make his first start in tomorrow's Dr Martens League Premier Division game at Margate.
