NICK Baxter's future at Worcester Rugby Club is once again in doubt after being axed from the side to face Orrell on Saturday.

Worcester's golden boy, who has spent much of the season on the sidelines, is once again the fall guy for the National One clash at Sixways.

Baxter played in the fateful 30-13 defeat at Headingley two weeks ago but coach Adrian Skeggs has restored Scott Barrow to centre while skipper Alistair Murdoch takes over from Baxter on the wing.

It is the latest disappointment for Worcester's record-breaking winger and, with him out of contract in the summer, puts further question marks over his future with three games to go this season.

The other changes to the side outclassed at Leeds see Kiwi Richard Jarman return at scrum-half in place of Ricky Pellow, while Tony Yapp gets the nod over Samoan star Earl Va'a at fly-half.

Yapp and Barrow both impressed last weekend for the Warriors and have been restored to the first team on the back of their recent form.

Skeggs said: "Barrow is already showing a level of maturity which belies his age while Yapp has done everything we have asked of him this season.

"We always said that although Earl would come in for the Leeds game, we would have no problem putting Tony back in for the final three games.

"By his own admission, Earl had a poor game at Headingley. Tony will definitely add something to our attack."

Chris Simpson-Daniel has still not recovered from his back injury after a car crash and was ruled out earlier this week. However, his loss is Jarman's gain as the New Zealander comes in for his first game since February.

Skeggs added: "Ricky struggled a bit at Leeds and Jarman will add something extra to the team. He is very experienced player.

"It will be a tough game up front against Orrell and we need a bit of composure out there and a cool head.

"He won't rush things and will continue to talk to the players on the pitch."

On Baxter's absence, Skeggs believed the player was just unfortunate to miss out.

"With Barrow coming back into the side, it just meant Alistair Murdoch moving out on the wing and someone having to drop out. He is unfortunate to be that one."
