REDS star Simon Hollis is fast becoming the loan signing of the season after taking his tally to six goals in three matches - not bad for a wing back.

Hollis - on a month's loan from Solihull Borough - reached the half dozen mark with a brace in Saturday's impressive 3-0 win over third placed Weston.

And after a disappointing FA Cup exit was followed by an indifferent run of results, manager Rod Brown has delivered the goods by giving United fans a top six side.

A Hollis-inspired United overturned the odds to reach sixth place and could reach the giddy heights of fourth if they can banish their indifferent away form at Cirencester on Saturday (ko 3pm).

Brown has already stated his desire to secure Hollis for an extended period after the initial four weeks but chairman Neil Pagett reiterated his manager's comment regarding a purported £3,000 fee.

The United chairman said fans hoping the club could dip into the £16,000 raked in by an extended FA Cup run at the start of the season would be disappointed.

United boss Brown will be hoping to extend his side's winning streak to four matches at Cirencester's new Corinium Stadium on Saturday.

A top six berth would buoy the club ahead of tough matches against Stourport Swifts and Merthyr Tydfil over the festive season.
