REDDITCH United are set to make a major announcement about the future of the club at tomorrow night's Fans' Forum.

Club officials were remaining tight-lipped about the new developments this week but with Rod Brown's interest in taking a stake in the club, the manager said there were exciting times ahead.

And the Reds boss says his side have the incentive to go for it in their last 11 matches of the season because of the proposed shake-up of the Nationwide Conference and it's feeder leagues.

"I would be very surprised if the plan to expand the Conference to include Northern and Southern divisions does not happen this year," said Brown in the wake of Saturday's impressive 4-1 win over Sutton Coldfield Town.

"The odds are any team finishing in the top four in the Western Division will go up.

"Below that, things like ground grading may come into effect but Redditch United have a fantastic opportunity to make progress this season."

With the inevitable rumours about fresh blood - and more importantly - new funds on the board, Brown said he was happy with the squad he has taken two seasons to build.

"Even if I had £50,000 to spend I would stick to the four targets I have already lined up."

The Reds expect to return to strength for Saturday's trip to Taunton (ko 3pm) with full back Steve Shaw returning from suspension.

The Fans' Forum starts at the Valley Stadium at 8pm.
