A SECOND Redditch post office will undergo refurbishment this month.
The Mason Road post office will close at 5.30pm on Tuesday, July 30, and re-open on Saturday, August 2, although the shop will remain open.
The work involves installing a new two-position counter and is being carried out ahead of the controversial closure of Rectory Road post office, Headless Cross, in August.
The Advertiser reported last week a similar refurbishment had been carried out at Mount Pleasant branch prior to the closure of Beoley Road post office, St George's, at the end of July.
A full refurbishment of the shop area is set to take place later in the year.
