IT was a right royal occasion for Maggie and Eric Payne when they visited the Queen at Buckingham Palace yesterday.
Alcester town councillor and St Nicholas' Churchyard committee member Eric Payne was nominated to attend the Queen's Garden Party in recognition of the work he has done for the community.
Mr Payne and his wife, Maggie, travelled to London by train and spent the whole afternoon at Buckingham Palace.
