Dear Editor - I am writing in response to the letter by skateboarder A Wainman.
I am a parent of two young children in Redcar Close and I would like to reveal the real truth of the situation.
There is damage to my car and other cars in Redcar Close caused by skateboarders. I have counted the children gathering in our close and there have been 30 children or more at one time in Redcar.
The wood that they use as ramps litters our close and we have to avoid it when pulling into our driveways. I have witnessed children being dropped off in Redcar and I have proof as I have photographed this.
Despite all of this, my main issue is that my two children cannot sleep at night because of the constant banging of skateboards, so I would ask you to stay out of our close and keep your own family awake at night.
