A WINYATES teenager has been fined £75 for pulling up two pansies worth £2.50 in Redditch town centre.

Daniel Cartlidge, 19, of Tillington Close, was charged with criminal damage following the incident in Alcester Street on April 5.

Redditch Magistrates Court heard last Tuesday Daniel, who was previously a landscape gardener, had been captured on CCTV "clutching some pansies and handing them to his friends".

He was also ordered to pay Redditch Council £2.50 compensation plus £25 costs.
