A ROBBER who targeted three women on the same day is being assessed in a psychiatric hospital.

Lance Baines, aged 18, of Queensway, Hereford, admitted one charge of robbery and two of attempted robbery.

He got away with a purse and tried to snatch a wallet and a bag from the other two victims on December 9, last year, Worcester Crown Court heard.

Defence counsel Simon Goodman said he was fit to plead but he would be asking for a hospital order when Baines was sentenced.

The case was adjourned by Judge Michael Mott for two psychiatric reports to be completed.

Baines was allowed to return to the hospital where he is currently being treated.
