LAST week members of Arden Sailing Club from Defford near Pershore made their annual trip to the Saundersfoot Regatta.
With some 100 boats taking part thrills and spills were guaranteed.
The first Arden Sailing Club boat was Niall Campbell and Jane Smee in 20th, Eric Ison in his Laser was 35th, Dave Harris was 37th and ,much to his surprise when the results were read out, first Solo, taking home a plate for the trophy cabinet.
Alan Salerman (Enterprise) was 52nd with David Drinkwater (Laser) 56th and his father Richard Drinkwater (Enterprise) 61st. Kevin Williams was 75th in his Redwing, a creditable performance after some major repair work.
Arden are having an open day at their Defford site on Sunday, June 8, come and try sailing with experienced instructors, rescue boat on hand all day. Starting at 11am until 4pm.
