A NEW mobile phone mast is to be erected at Osebury Rock, near Blacks Well, Knightwick.
T-Mobile UK Ltd wants a 15-metre tower with three antennas at the site, not far from two existing masts.
The parish council has objected to the plan, saying that telecommunication companies should share masts.
However, members of Malvern Hills District Council's northern area planning committee, meeting on Monday, heard that because the mast is only 15 metres high, it falls in the "permitted development" category and no planning permission is needed.
