Move Eof' over. Is it not too late to squash this project to erect a bronze (so alien) in the presently uncluttered Market Square where there is space and relative quiet to just sit awhile?
If you really want to proclaim Eof; a statue, in white stone (purity), clearly signed to approaching motorists, sited on the roundabouts at each end of the bypass would be more suitable.
At the same time, those intrusions into the country scene at the northern end ie the garish petrol station and motel can be screened by Leylandii to restore the bucolic idyll.
Though once again it seems we are being presented by an apparent 'fait accompli' and the bill!
