A WYRE Forest charity dished up plenty of food for thought at a fund-raising luncheon in Kidderminster.
The district's Cancer Research UK committee raised more than £560 at the event at Gainsborough House Hotel - beating last year's total by more than £100.
Guest speaker Professor Lawrence Young, head of the cancer research unit in Birmingham, spoke about work being carried out to find cures and treatments for cancers.
He also stressed the need for fund-raising to ensure continued research into the disease.
