THERE are just three days remaining to enter this year's Race for Life.

The deadline for entry into the fifth annual Worcester Race for Life is this Sunday, June 8.

Organisers are expecting a surge of entries over the next couple of days as women and girls all over the city sign up for the 5km fun-run around Worcester's streets.

Already 3,000 entries have poured in for the women-only race that raises money for cancer research, due to take place next Sunday, June 15.

Nick Wright, from Cancer Research UK, which organises Race for Life events all over the country, said he was very pleased with the number of entries for Worcester this year, which already stands at three quarters of last year's total.

"When you consider there are still two more days left to enter, we might just beat last year's record number of entries for Worcester - I am really hoping we can get up to 4,000 entries this year."
