PLANS are in the pipeline to provide football and hockey training when a £350,000 state-of-the-art playing pitch opens at Arrow Vale Sports Centre in July.
The pitch, in Matchborough, has been created as part of a joint venture between Redditch Council and Worcestershire County Council with the support of Sport England.
Both pupils at Arrow Vale Community High School and residents in the area will be able to use the new pitch which will also be used for development work with different groups.
Road safety measures have been improved around the site and plans to install additional car parking are being investigated.
