BROMSGROVE cyclist Matt Ashcroft, riding for Wyre Forest Cycle Racing Club, managed an excellent seventh place in the Warwickshire RC ten-mile time trial at Wythall last Saturday.
In windy conditions, Ashcroft powered home in 23 minutes 15 seconds, 86 seconds behind overall winner Roger Iddles of Stourbridge.
Rob Holbeche, also from Bromsgrove, raced to victory in the club's time trial around the hilly ten-mile Great Witley course in 25mins 54secs. His father Len finished second.
