EXHALL and Wixford are preparing for another busy weekend in the National Village Knockout.

The villagers have a daunting pair of fixtures starting with a Cotswold Premier top three clash at Stratford Bards on Saturday (2pm start).

Bards are second in the table, a mere two league points ahead of Exhall, and Scott Carmichael's third placed side can leapfrog them with a good result.

And Wixford are on their travels again in the regional semi final of the knockout on Sunday (2.30pm start).

The Cotswold Hills representatives will visit Everards Leicestershire County League Division One high-fliers Bitteswell.

The hosts beat Warwickshire League strugglers Offchurch in the previous round but Exhall chairman John Canning says his side have a good record against Sunday's opponents.

Exhall warmed up with a two wicket win at home to Broadway on Saturday.

The visitors reached 191 for six, a target passed by the hosts for the loss of eight to earn Exhall 18 league points.
