DEAR EDITOR -- May I thank the people of Droitwich Spa and surrounding areas for their wonderful generosity in making our recent Street and House to House collections such a success.
The amounts raised were £786.37 on Lifeboat Day and £941.65 house-to-house collections in the surrounding villages, making a grand total of £1,728.02.
A truly magnificent result for an area so far from the sea!
The RNLI is supported wholly from voluntary contributions and legacies, receiving no financial assistance from the government whatsoever.
