WE suffered with the same problem as your correspondent (Letters, May 28) regarding continuous noise from speeding motorcyclists.

Our bungalow was well back from the road but still the noise persisted.

On several occasions, my husband waited by the roadside to try to get the motorcycle's numbers but the speed was too great.

We reported it to the police but they didn't seem to want to know.

We now live in a little backwater of Redditch, a bungalow backing onto woods.

The tranquillity is superb and we can now hear the birds singing and the pigeons cooing - heaven!

Cookhill is lovely in many ways but I wouldn't want to return.
