WE have a pedigree English springer spaniel who celebrated her 17th birthday in April this year. 17-year-old spaniel Abigail with owner Sue Bayliss.
She has ulcers in her eyes and arthritis in her hip but still gets around the house and garden with ease.
She often puts us to shame. When we want to relax in our armchairs at night Abigail "asks" for a walk and does not settle until we have given in to her demands.
We were wondering if any other readers have heard of pedigree spaniels living to this age, or beyond.
