ANDY Keast has paid tribute to Duncan Roke's 'awesome' form for Worcester Rugby Club this season.

The Sixways' coach has been delighted with the former Henley man's play following some outstanding tries which have left him joint top scorer with David Officer on eight this season.

And after making Roke his number 15 after his Worcester arrival in January, Keast is pleased to see his selection pay dividends.

"Duncan is setting very high standards for himself so far this season," said Keast. "Against Manchester he was very good and for 20 minutes in the Bedford match he was outstanding. He is getting better and better as a full back and I really feel he has a lot more to offer yet.

"There are not many full backs in the country that are performing like him at the mom-0ent. He is just awesome."

Roke's form comes as the player is struggling with a shoulder problem but Keast is hopeful that he will come through the injury.

"It's a bruised bone and we know that if he takes a bang right on the point of the bruise that it will give him a problem," added Keast.

"It's not a major injury though and it will be a gradual thing for him to recover."

Meanwhile, Ben Hinshelwood could be told to carry on the kicking this season after being given another role against Bedford.

The centre was given restart and touch duties on Saturday and Keast believes it is a role which could benefit the side.

"Ben has been practising a lot at his restarts and his touch kicking. He gets a lot of distance, much further than a nyone else at the club. He also gets more height from restarts than anyone else. Obviously a game situation is different to practice and he found that out on Saturday. But that is the only place he can learn and it was a good experience for him.

"When you see someone with ability you cannot ignore it. You have to nurture it."
