JOHN Brain targeted Henley's danger men ahead of today's National One clash at Dry Leas, writes MARK DOBSON.

Worcester Rugby Club's head coach was in buoyant mood after watching his promotion-chasing side open up their league campaign with two impressive wins.

However, he was wary of Worcester's first away trip of the season as the Gold'n'Blues look to continue their 100 per cent record.

"Their two wingers are very quick and can cause teams problems," said Brain. "Bruce Rowland and Tom Holloway will be a threat to us while their scrum-half Dan Strange can be very good on his day. They also have a promising lock in James Winterbottom.

"They are a counter-attacking team who will be a tough proposition on their own ground. People tend to forget they beat Leeds on their home turf last season."

Henley had lost their opening two league matches this season, going down to London Welsh and Coventry. However, Brain believed they will fight tooth and nail before succumbing to a third successive defeat.

"They are in front of their home crowd and will be up for the game. Teams always up their performance against Worcester and it will be no different at Henley. However, we are determined to improve on our display against Birmingham. We were fairly happy with the result."

Former Henley favourite Duncan Roke, who moved from Marlow Road to Sixways in the summer, was ruled out of a reunion because of his concussion injury suffered against Manchester in the opening game of the season.

Brain, however, said the centre was philosophical about the game.

"He's disappointed not to be playing. However, he knows you have to serve a three-week period after such an injury."
