EXTRA Home Office cash has funded a freephone domestic violence Worcestershire helpline.
The successful bid of £25,000 was co-ordinated by FLARE, a body set up by the West Mercia Police Authority to fund community safety initiatives.
An additional helpline has also been set up for residents in Herefordshire and Shropshire.
FLARE co-ordinator, Sheen Lucas said: "We are delighted these helplines will receive funding for the vital service and support they provide to vulnerable women and children throughout the area."
