TWO junior football teams from Rubery have a double reason to celebrate after both were crowned league champions.
Rubery U8s and U9s have won the Central Warwickshire Youth League Division C for their respective age groups.
The U8s topped their league all season with the exception of one week at Christmas, and won it with a game to spare -- a vast improvement on the bottom half finish the season before.
The success also marked the end of manager Berni Leach's first season in charge.
Paul Pillinger's U9s made up for third place 12 months ago, which saw them miss out on promotion, by leading all season, again except for one week, and had wrapped the title up with three games left.
