TAMWORTH manager Darron Gee has turned up the heat on Worcester City by insisting tomorrow's match is more vital for their rivals.

The Lambs head into tomorrow's showdown with a two-point lead over John Barton's side with two games in hand.

Gee has been boosted by the arrival of striker Avun Jephcott from Coventry City's academy set-up and midfielder Steve Evans on loan from Burton Albion.

Winger Nick Colley is out with a broken foot but key midfielder Tony Hemmings and striker Scott Rickards are in with a chance of being fit after being injured in last week's 3-0 defeat at Chippenham.

"The lads have learned from last year and with more experience know what it takes to win the league," said Gee.

"Going into Saturday people are billing it as a must-win game but I don't think it is for us because we've got points and games in hand.

"Worcester need to win more than we do but it's got all the ingredients for a cracking game.

"It's the pick of the fixtures. Our match earlier in the season was one of the best 0-0 draws I have been involved in and we know John Barton's side will be a good, well organised outfit.

"Worcester are a good side, though I know John's had a few injuries, but they like to get the ball down and pass.

"Apart from Nick we should have a full squad to pick from and we'll be rested after having New Year's Day off though we wanted to play.

"The lads have been superb and even though we lost 3-0 to Chippenham it didn't reflect the game because we had 70 per cent of the play."

Former City striker Mark Hallam will be in the Lambs squad and he has forced himself back into Gee's thoughts.

"He's been on fire for us and done superbly well," he said. "We signed big Mark Sale and he knew he would have to fight for his place but he has taken his chance. He's a goalscorer and got a lot of goals for us and is a vital part of what we have done this year."
