NOW that the safety to schools project in Astwood Road/Bilford Road and Drovers Way has been completed, I would ask who in their right mind devised such a lay-out?
There is no proper defined pedestrian crossing as I can see and the bus shelter outside the post office has disappeared - so where will the new bus stop be?
Since the alterations, I have been nearly knocked down by a car on the bend in the road.
The car stopped only feet away from me when I was half way across the Bilford Road/Astwood Road Junction, the car having come from the direction of Astwood Road cemetery.
Being a disabled senior citizen, I'm not as agile as I used to be, and on the new raised red areas drivers are not prone to give way.
Recently there has been a fatal accident in Bilford Road. So is the county council going to wait for another fatality?
