SEAN Parrish believes Kidderminster Harriers will benefit from the experience they have gained from their exploits this season in the Nationwide League Third Division.

Despite their financial problems Harriers have surprised some supporters by keeping the campaign alive right up to the last couple of games.

Indeed, they went into this afternoon's clash at Hull City still with an outside chance of securing a play-off spot.

And Parrish believes that the lessons they have learned along the way will stand them in good stead for next term.

He said: "You hopes the squad will be better for this season's experiences next season.

"Silly mistakes have cost us dear this year, and I know the gaffer won't stand for it.

"If we had cut out half of those rediculous goals we have conceded we'd have probably been promoted already.

"It's a young team that is still learning."

Parrish has experienced a mixed season for Harriers who complete their league programme next Saturday when they take on Bristol Rovers in an all-ticket clash at Aggborough.

The midfielder was boss Ian Britton's first signing for Kidderminster when he arrived on a free transfer from Chesterfield.

He has been dogged by a series of injuries which he accepts 'are part and parcel of the game'.
