HEREFORD United duo Paul Parry and Tony James are being tipped to be part of the Welsh non-league team bidding to retain the Unibond Four Nations Semi-Professional Tournament title next month.

Welsh manager Tommi Morgan has been keeping a close eye on the pair and has been pleased with their displays.

"Parry and James performed very well for us last year and I want them to feature for us this time," he said.

"They are both top quality players and I have been keeping an eye on their performances this season.

"There will be more pressure on us this year because nobody expected us to win the tournament last season, but we are all looking forward to it."

Former Bulls forward Gavin Williams, who is a member of Nationwide Conference champions Yeovil, is also likely to play for Wales.

Michael Rose and Matt Baker are in with a chance of representing England's National Game XI in the same competition having been included in squads earlier in the season.

Meanwhile Hereford United midfielder Danny Williams is still buoyant after hitting the target in the 2-1 win at Southport last week and also praised Albano Correia's winning strike.

"It was about time we got back to winning ways," he said. "It's been a while since I last scored and it was a well worked goal. Albano's winner could've gone anywhere, but it was a stunning goal."

Southport boss Mike Walsh also applauded Correia's winner. "I could not fault my players for their effort and application, but nobody could have stopped Hereford's winning goal," he said.

"It was either one of the best of the season or a big fluke."
