GOLF aces John Bickerton and David Park were both well up the leaderboard after the first round of the Spanish Open in Tenerife.
Droitwich's Bickerton shared 16th place, three shots off the lead, after a six-under-par 66, while Park, from Hereford, was one shot further back in joint 30th.
Bickerton remained on six under after 12 holes today.
The high scoring continued with Spain's Jose Maria Olazabal and England's Miles Tunnicliff sharing top spot, both on 13 under after 11 and 10 holes respectively.
