I am delighted to have received so many communiqus from our local election candidates this past fortnight. If only they had shown that same keen interest in replying to the three separate inquiries I have made during the last 18 months, asking for assistance on local issues, then I might have been more inclined to vote for one or more of them next Thursday.
However, as I never received a single reply to (or even acknowledgement of) my requests, I shall probably show them the same courtesy by staying at home and not voting. Councillors, please note, constituents are for the whole term, not just for elections.
