ON Easter Eve the service of light was held at St Mary the Virgin Church in Upleadon. The service was conducted by Jessie Williams who marked the cross on the Paschal Candle and struck the New Light of Easter. Hazel Berry read from St Matthew's Gospel.
On Easter Day there was a good sized congregation to welcome the celebrant, the Rev Andrew Perry.
The church had been beautifully decorated with seasonal flowers. Next Sunday, the family service is at 9.30am. All are welcome.
