GARY Robinson stood down as chairman at the annual meeting of Wychavon Sport (previously Wychavon Sports Council).
The new chairman is George Fraser-Barker from Avon Valley Basketball Club, who wants to make Wychavon Sport a leading force within the community and has promised that the membership will be kept up to date.
He is also seeking to ensure that Wychavon Sport has a say in the development of sports-related courses within the district.
In recognition of his 18 years' service to the Sports Council, the former chairman was presented with a miniature silver racing bicycle. He was also elected president.
Mike Leach also stood down as treasurer, and this position was filled by Emma-Jane Gardner, also from the Avon Valley club. Sue Collins remains as secretary.
