UPTON Snodsbury became only the second team in the history of the Evesham Sunday League to win the Knockout Cup three seasons in succession.

They equalled Willmott's record from the early 70s after Sunday night's 2-0 win over The Bear.

Upton had the better of the early exchanges but found Moss in excellent form between the posts.

Two goals in two minutes, though, shortly before half-time swung the game Upton's way.

The first came from an Ian Aldington header, while substitute Rogers got on the end of a through ball to double the villagers' lead.

Despite second half pressure, the Bear were unable to reduce the deficit.

The cup winners now need to win their final two matches to clinch the Division One crown following Willersey's narrow win at Bretforton VIC where Andy Beale snatched the vital goal.

Ambassador clinched the Division Two title with victory over Peopleton. Ian Crawford (2) and Mick Smith grabbed the goals with Cotton netting for the visitors.

Red Horse moved back into second place after a hard-earned win at Broadway United. The Horsemen led through goals from Knight and Brown before the hosts hit back through Hodson and Jordan only for Duncan's strike to give the visitors the points.

Bredon completed their programme with victory at Lower Moor.

Defford and Besford United followed up last season's successful campaign with a second league title.

They clinched the third division crown last Wednesday with victory at Mountinneers, the start of a disappointing few days for the Mount who narrowly lost out in the GFA Sunday Minor Cup final despite leading by two goals.

Division Four was completed with Ashton winning at Bell United with goals from Hunting, Haines and Price. The home side replied through Davies and Collins.

The Bluck Cup final between Broadway Reserves and Mountinneers takes place on Sunday at Evesham United FC, kick-off 6pm.

The Division Four League Cup final between Golden Cross and Shipston Excelsior is being staged at Broadway United's ground on the same day with a 10.30am start.
