HOCKEY: National glory beckons for Stourport's U-15s who stage their English club cup semi-final on Saturday from 1.30pm.

They take on Eastcote, from Surrey, and admission is free for spectators.

If Stourport are successful, they will travel to Old Loughtonians, north London, on May 10.

The other semi-final is between Havant and Bradford.

The final game of this season's campaign was dominated by Stourport with goals for Ben Carless, Oliver Butler and Andrew Cavendish.

Merit awards were given to each member at the recent junior presentation evening.

Brian Young presented the Jonathon Young Award for most outstanding U-16s player to Luke Carless.

Isobel Rosie took the Louise Gunn Trophy for most improved junior and Cavendish was most valuable Badgers player.

Special development awards went to Eton Szytbl and Alex Totney (U-12s), Butler, Max Totney, Lewis Bevan and Emily McCoy (U-14s) and Ashley Jones, Ben Everitt-Li, Scott Nelson and Andrew Bickerton (U-16s).

The club's Pakistan international Imran Yousaf and current Great Britain skipper Craig Parnham made the presentations.
